A small selection of some of my favorite video stills from over the years filming the @apal.info Asian Performing Artists Lab residency and showcase. Feeling nostalgic after editing a recent documentary on the lab with @ming.apur

Working on the documentary was a beautiful reflection for me…inspiring to see the true labor of love that has gone into making the labs possible…and all the collectives and collaborations that have continued for the artists afterwards.

I have met so many good people through APAL, and learned as a creator through these caring spaces…reflecting deeper on videographer’s presence…and the subtler aspects of editing documentation.

Love letter out to all the amazing people I’ve connected with through APAL, I feel so fortunate 🫶

For this portrait shoot, actress @makicerdanniell and I dreamed up the alter ego of water siren 🪷

We collaborated together on all the details like colors, styling, and a playlist with the perfect atmosphere
